LetsGo is a social networking app for discovering and creating local events, allowing users to connect with friends and participate in nearby activities. Available on iOS with 50K+ downloads.

As a co-founder, I built the entire React Native app from scratch and was involved in key business decisions alongside the technical work — from product direction to app distribution and marketing strategy. Over the course of a year, the app grew to 50K+ users, at which point I exited my equity stake.

Responsibilities

• Co-founder & technical lead — Owned the full product from concept to launch, making both technical and business decisions including app distribution and marketing strategy.
• Codebase ownership — Architected and built the entire React Native app from scratch using Expo, managing builds and releases through EAS with over-the-air updates for rapid iteration.
• Real-time chat system — Built a WebSocket-based instant messaging system enabling direct conversations between users.
• Interactive maps & event discovery — Developed a Google Maps integration allowing users to browse and join nearby events with custom markers and location-based filtering.
• Push notifications — Built a comprehensive notification system covering event alerts, messages, and friend requests to drive engagement.
• UI animations — Implemented polished interactions using React Native Reanimated, giving the app a native feel.
• AWS infrastructure — Integrated Cognito for authentication and Amplify for backend connectivity, owning the full cloud layer.
