MathGPT is a Next.js web platform with 1M+ users and 200K+ monthly active users, focused on solving math problems using AI. Students get step-by-step solutions, explanations, and custom AI-generated educational videos for any math problem.

As a core Founding Engineer at MathGPT, I worked on major parts of the Next.js website alongside the React Native mobile app, shipping features at scale to 200K+ MAUs.

My focus was heavily AI-driven — I played a major role in building the AI Math Assistant and the AI-generated videos, working closely with the founders to ship features that directly increased revenue and user engagement.

Responsibilities

• Web infrastructure — Maintained and expanded the Next.js application on Vercel, serving 200K+ monthly active users.
• AI features — Built the AI Math Assistant with AI-generated video capabilities using the Vercel AI SDK, along with supplementary math tools including practice tests, flashcards, and more.
• Full-stack development — Worked across both frontend and backend, building and maintaining API endpoints serving features at scale.
• UI & design system — Managed the entire frontend design using Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui, ensuring a consistent and responsive user experience across the platform.
• Advanced frontend features — Built complex interactive components including a custom Math Keyboard, math calculator, and numerous internal tools.
• Payments & monetization — Implemented Stripe payment processing for subscription management, contributing to revenue growth.
• Backend data architecture — Developed the data layer using Supabase for efficient storage and real-time management.
• Analytics & optimization — Integrated PostHog for tracking user behavior and optimizing conversion funnels.
